Starwood Hotels Loyalty Program Partners with Major League Baseball

Starwood Hotels and Resorts is partnering with Major League Baseball to provide loyalty members once-in-a-lifetime experiences with their favorite teams. The Starwood Preferred Guest program is now offering a new line of loyalty rewards in collaboration with the MLB, in addition to several other features designed to increase customer engagement with program members. These rewards include exclusive access to the Opening Day festivities on April 3, regular season tickets, and other exclusive experiences.
 
In addition to the new rewards, the hotel chain has launched “Get in the Game with SPG,” an online game in which users are given the opportunity to win two tickets to Game 1 of the World Series. The game is only open to Starwood Preferred Guest members, ensuring that customers are engaging with the brand in order to be eligible for prizes. The game is personalized to each fan’s preferences; after entering their favorite team, the visual design of the game and its player names will be adjusted accordingly.
 
Regular season packages that can be bid on with Starpoints earned from the program include experiences with some of Major League Baseball’s most popular teams, including the Boston Red Sox, Atlanta Braves, and Texas Rangers.
