Sprouts Farmers Market is reaffirming its commitment to empowering female athletes by expanding its groundbreaking Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) initiative, “PowHERed by Sprouts.” The natural grocery chain announced the addition of eight new female college athletes to its NIL roster, reinforcing its role as a trailblazer in supporting women’s collegiate sports.
Sprouts President and COO Nick Konat said, “Sprouts is on a mission to power women both on and off the field, fueling performance through nutrition and partnering with athletes who are changing the game in women’s sports. We’re excited to welcome eight new incredible athletes to the Sprouts NIL roster, so together we can build a healthier and stronger future for all female athletes.”
The newly added athletes to the Sprouts NIL program include a diverse group of sports competitors from across the country. They are Hailey Hernandez (diving), Amari Whiting and Mjracle Sheppard (basketball), Haleigh Bryant (gymnastics), Zoe Summar (swimming), Megan Grant (softball), Delaney DeMartino (soccer), and Evie Minella (field hockey). Each athlete brings a strong record of excellence in their sport, with accomplishments ranging from NCAA titles to All-American honors, and will share their favorite nutritious meals and their Sprouts experiences with fans online.
Since 2022, Sprouts has supported over 160 female college athletes. The company also boosts women’s sports visibility through strategic partnerships and sponsorships with major universities and athletic conferences, including Arizona State, USC, and the University of Texas, as well as organizations like the Big 12 and SEC.
