T-Mobile Launches Partner Plus Program

T-Mobile is collaborating with TD SYNNEX, Ingram Micro, and Cradlepoint to provide accessible and affordable 5G capabilities to T-Mobile’s channel partners, businesses, and original equipment manufacturers. The telecommunications giant is launching its Partner Plus channel subsidiary program to reduce the upfront costs of 5G laptops and enterprise-grade 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) equipment.

“Our mission is to enable businesses to accelerate the realization of the many benefits of 5G. We are bringing together industry-leading partners to provide added value and make the advantages of 5G more accessible to all organizations,” said George Fischer, SVP of Sales, T-Mobile Business Group.

Through Partner Plus, businesses can receive subsidy credits of up to $400 per 5G laptop and up to $700 for eligible Cradlepoint routers and adapters. The credits lower the initial investment required to transition to 5G technology. In addition, T-Mobile’s certified 5G laptops and business internet solutions offer enhanced privacy, security, speed, and coverage compared to traditional public Wi-Fi. The partnership with Cradlepoint also provides the option of up to two additional years of NetCloud Manager.

Max Introduces Enhanced Personalized Content on Homepage

Max introduced a new “whole page optimization” system for U.S. viewers designed to enhance user engagement by personalizing the rows of content on the Max homepage. The new system utilizes the user’s viewing history to determine which they like best, then tailors the order and programs based on their preferences. The former HBO Max rolled out homepage personalization last month, and Warner Bros. Discovery, Max’s parent company, says it’s thus far been successful.

According to Warner Bros. Discovery Senior Vice President of Global Streaming, Liesel Kipp, Max has experienced a “meaningful lift” in the length of time viewers are watching content on Max in addition to how often they return. Kipp stated, “The system can really help consumers find those hidden gems on Max.”

Max is also working on additional personalization features, including a rating system similar to Netflix’s that allows users to rank titles by classifying them as “not for me,” “love,” or “like.” The streaming service is experimenting with AI to understand the social and emotional context of content for better recommendations.
