Walmart and Capital One Announce New Walmart Rewards Cards
The retailer and holding company have announced the September 24  launch of a new credit card that rewards Walmart’s consumers. “The 5 percent cashback in-store offer, which is an introductory offer for the first 12 months, only applies to store purchases using Walmart Pay, the retailer’s exclusive mobile payment. After the introductory offer, the cards will offer 2 percent back on Walmart store purchases. Walmart.com purchases, including Walmart Grocery Pickup and Delivery, give 5 percent back.”

The mattress startup “is launching a new line of gummies to help you catch some Zs with three other letters—CBD. The sleep-aiding munchers are the result of a partnership with the cannabidiol company Plus and talks that started a year ago. The new product line is called ‘PLUS sleep.’”
 
NBCUniversal Unveils Peacock, Its Upcoming Streaming Service
The brand has announced that its streaming service, Peacock, is set to roll out in April 2020. “The name Peacock pays homage to the quality content that audiences have come to expect from NBCUniversal,” Bonnie Hammer, NBCUniversal’s Chairman of Direct-to-Consumer and Digital Enterprises, said in a statement. “Peacock will be the go-to place for both the timely and timeless.”
 
Chipotle Adds Carne Asada to Menu for a Limited Time
The QSR, which changes its menu infrequently,  has announced that it will serve carne asada for a limited time. “Members of Chipotle Rewards loyalty program can try the limited-time menu item early through digital ordering starting Tuesday. The national average for the protein will be $8.50 in a standard entrée.”

Huddle House Agrees to Buy Perkins for $51.5M
Having previously filed for Chapter 11, Perkins has now been purchased by Huddle House. “The combination of the brands will result in a 700-restaurant operation with collective sales of about $800 million, Huddle House said in announcing the deal. About 220 of Perkins’ units and roughly 315 of Huddle House’s 351 units are franchised.”
