Capital One Scales Back Venture X Lounge Access Benefits
Capital One has officially rolled back some of the most generous airport lounge perks tied to its Venture X Rewards Credit Card and Venture X Business Card. First announced in June 2025, the changes took effect on February 1, 2026, and significantly limit complimentary lounge access for authorized users and guests. The move places Capital One among a growing group of card issuers tightening premium travel benefits amid increasing lounge crowding.
Under the new policy, authorized users on the Venture X card no longer receive automatic lounge access. To restore those privileges, primary cardholders must now pay $125 per authorized user each year for access to Capital One Lounges, Capital One Landings, and Priority Pass lounges. While Venture X Business employee cards previously had no lounge access at all, they now follow the same paid model, with a limit of four enrolled cardholders. Authorized users may still be added at no cost.
Guest access has also been sharply reduced. Venture X cardholders can no longer bring complimentary guests into Priority Pass lounges and must now pay $35 per guest per visit. Access for guests to Capital One Lounges and Landings requires either a $75,000 annual spending threshold to unlock guest privileges or paying per-visit fees of $45 per adult and $25 per child. Capital One says the changes are intended to reduce overcrowding and preserve the lounge experience, but for many cardholders, the once-standout value proposition of the Venture X cards has been notably diminished.

Intuit Brings Financial Literacy to Center Stage During Super Bowl LX Week
Intuit has announced a new partnership with the NFL Inspire Change Initiative and the San Francisco 49ers Foundation to host a Financial Literacy Forum for hundreds of Bay Area high school students during Super Bowl LX week. The event is part of Intuit’s broader mission to power prosperity by transforming financial education into an engaging, hands-on experience that introduces students to essential personal and business finance skills, from managing credit to understanding taxes and building long-term wealth.
Intuit VP of Education and Corporate Responsibility, Dave Zasada, said, “Financial literacy is a foundational life skill, and it’s never been more important to reach students early with learning that’s practical and engaging. By teaming up with the NFL and the 49ers Foundation during Super Bowl week, we’re meeting students in a moment that already captures their attention, and helping them build financial literacy, capability, and confidence that enables future financial success.”
At the Financial Literacy Forum, students will participate in interactive, real-world activities such as running a mock business, learning how credit works, and creating marketing campaigns. Intuit Chief Commercial Officer Greg Johnson will also moderate a conversation with San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, drawing parallels between the discipline required in professional sports and the habits needed for smart financial decision-making. In addition to the forum, Intuit is launching its annual Hour of Finance Challenge, a nationwide initiative encouraging educators to dedicate at least one class period to financial literacy this spring. The challenge offers free, easy-to-use resources and is expanding in 2026 through a partnership with Next Gen Personal Finance, adding new interactive experiences focused on budgeting and credit-building. Together, these initiatives support Intuit’s goal of helping 50 million students become financially literate, capable, and confident by 2030.
