I don’t know how your marketing meetings go, but in my line of work I spend time with clients discussing results. The meetings go something like this:
Finance: How did the last email campaign work out?
Marketing: We had 500,000 impressions and a click thru rate of 1%. So, we had 5,000 get to the promotion page which is good.
IT: We only had 317 transactions with that promo code, so it didn’t work out so....
