Staples and Party City have announced a new partnership that will bring Party City shop-in-shops to more than 700 Staples locations across the U.S., as well as on the Staples website. The rollout begins in time for graduation season, with plans to expand into additional stores through the end of 2026. The collaboration is designed to give customers a convenient, all-in-one destination for both party supplies and personalized print services.

The combined offering allows shoppers to purchase decorations, balloons, tableware, and party favors alongside Staples’ printing and marketing services. Customers can create custom invitations, banners, yard signs, and posters while also picking up themed décor for events like birthdays, baby showers, graduations, and business celebrations. The goal is to simplify event planning by bringing everything needed for a celebration under one roof, responding to growing demand for convenience as graduation-related spending alone reached more than $6.8 billion last year.

Staples U.S. Retail President Marshall Warkentin said, “Staples has always been focused on making things easy for our customers, and our partnership with Party City takes that promise into new territory. By bringing Party City into Staples stores, we’re expanding what customers can accomplish in one place — combining helium balloons and party supplies with our print and marketing services to offer a complete solution for celebrations, from graduations to grand openings and everything in between.”

Party City CEO of Ad Populum, Joel Weinshanker, said, “For as long as we can all remember, Party City has been the trusted go-to for balloons and party goods, known for quality, creativity, and celebrations. As we take the new Party City to more places than ever before, finding the right partners is essential. Staples stood out immediately, not only for its national footprint, but for its strong connection to the communities we have both been part of for years. It felt like a natural fit from the start. Together, we’re making it easier for our many millions of combined loyal customers to celebrate and party with confidence at their local Party City, now at Staples.”

In-store experiences will include helium-filled latex and foil balloons available in a variety of styles, with options to schedule pickup in advance through Staples’ website and app. To mark the launch, the brands are offering limited-time promotions, including discounts on balloons, party supplies, and custom print products. Deals such as buy-two-get-one-free balloons, discounted invitations and banners, and affordable balloon bouquets are available both in-store and online. As the partnership grows, Staples and Party City plan to introduce additional updates, expanded availability, and new features throughout the year.
