Qatar Star League (QSL), the top professional football team in Qatar, wants to make sure their loyal fans stay loyal, committed, and passionate.
They recently partnered with ICLP in Dubai, the global leaders in loyalty, to launch one of the first football loyalty programmes in the region. The programme, called Football Rewards, aims to foster support for local football teams in Qatar and engage with fans in ways that inspire and reward.
"Given ICLP's experience in developing and managing reward-based programmes, we felt they were the best partner for Qatar Star League Football Rewards" Mr. Hani Taleb Ballan, Deputy CEO of the Qatar Stars League said.
Any and all football fans are invited to join, as the league wants to increase interest and attendance at local club matches. Once signed up, fans go online to purchase tickets that translate into football reward points, and move up in membership tiers when they attend matches. There are four tiers in the program – standard, bronze, silver, and gold. Each tier offers better benefits and rewards from partners like Qatar Airways, InterConinental Hotel Group, and Fitness First.
"This has been another exciting initiative for the QSL as the league looks to reward our loyal customers for their support,” Hani Taleb Ballan said. “By engaging with our fans and working with partners to provide exclusive benefits across football, community, family and entertainment we have created, and hope to continue creating lifelong bonds between fans and their clubs."
“ICLP is delighted to be the agency of choice for QSL. There has been an increased effort by leagues in the GCC to bring fans closer to their clubs,” Sanjit Gill, General Manager at ICLP, said. “QSL is the first to launch a loyalty programme that rewards and recognises fans for their engagement with their preferred clubs. With QSL's insights and our loyalty experience we are confident that the programme will be valued by fans."
