Qatar Airways recently redefined the in-flight experience by pioneering an e-sports competition called “Gaming in the Sky. The airline hosted the event aboard a commercial flight on May 11, 2025, from Doha to London, showcasing cutting-edge Starlink internet technology. The unprecedented initiative, which merged aviation with the fast-growing world of digital entertainment, included popular entertainment and gaming celebrities such as Tfue, Lsa Zimouche, Castro1021, Dantic, AJ3, Danny Aarons, MattHDGamer, Slater, and more, with Oussifooty hosting the event.
Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Engr. The event occurs just as Qatar Airways unveiled its recent technological advancements, including the near-completion of its Boeing 777 fleet upgrade and the introduction of Starlink on its Airbus A350 aircraft. As the only airline in the MENA region and the first globally to integrate Starlink into a widebody fleet, Qatar Airways continues to lead the way in aviation innovation, offering passengers a new era of connectivity and entertainment above the cloud.
