Prudential Creates Chief Customer Officer Position; Hires Former Pricelock CEO to Lead Loyalty Program Initiatives

Prudential loyalty Prudential Financial is stepping deeper into the customer loyalty and engagement arena. The financial services leader, that has this year garnered more than $1 trillion of assets, has hired Naveen Agarwal as Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, Prudential’s newly created position.

Agarwal will oversee the design and execution of Prudential’s new integrated strategy that will enhance the company’s customer experience for its U.S. businesses. He will also drive the creation of a broad customer engagement strategy to deliver consistent, meaningful customer experiences and relationships.

“Naveen’s deep experience in sales, marketing and technology will be invaluable as we work toward creating a transformational customer-focused engagement model at Prudential,” Stephen Pelletier, executive vice president and chief operating officer, U.S. Businesses, said in a release. “His addition reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences.”

Agarwal began his tenure with Prudential December 1 and is based at the company’s headquarters in Newark. He recently served as CEO of Pricelock, a leading online provider of fuel price protection for businesses. In addition, he served as president of E*TRADE Capital Management where he was responsible for growing the company’s mass affluent customer base.

Agarwal earned an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a bachelor’s degree in technology from the Indian Institute of Technology in Varanasi, India.
