No Frills® Meets Personalization with Introduction of Loyalty Program

No Frills® stores, a discount grocery store under Loblaw Companies Limited, is providing a new way to give their customers the best price without the frills.

Loblaw recently announced that they are expanding their loyalty program PC PlusTM to No Frills stores across Ontario. The PC PlusTM program is a rewards platform that provides customers with personalized offerings based on their purchase history, and is already offered to through other stores under Loblaw.

The program is fully digital, sending customized offers to members via an app based on previous purchases. Customers can earn points by buying the products with the discounts that are offered to them, and points can be accumulated and redeemed as dollars towards a grocery bill.

Introducing this card to No Frills customers is a way to give these customers increased savings from a grocery retailer that has already made value a priority.

"More than six million Canadians are already engaging with the PC Plus program, but bringing the program to a discount store like No Frills is special," says Uwe Stueckmann, senior vice-president, Marketing, Loblaw Companies Limited. "This rewards program is custom made for customers who want value on the items they already buy. Personalization is the unique driver of PC Plus."

And this personalization is in the hands of the customer – the more the customer loads offers and interacts with the PC Plus, the more customized the offers and experience become.

"Using points to take dollars off my grocery bill is an easy way to save money on all the things I already buy for my family," saysKathy Buckworth, chief family advisor for PC Financial and PC Plus. "No Frills stores already have a Won't Be Beat* pricing guarantee, but the PC Plus program sends me personalized offers to save me even more."
