Moosejaw announced a new program to allow customers to buy and sell used outdoor gear. The ReTrail program is powered by Recurate and is available to customers on the Moosejaw website.
The resale program is part of Moosejaw’s customer loyalty efforts, as its customers are continuing to look for planet-friendly purchasing options. ReTrail’s peer-to-peer platform allows sellers to list products from their purchase history, upload product photos, and suggest a sale price after authenticated and approved by Moosejaw.
“Through the ReTrail program, we are making it easier for our current customers to sell their gear and more approachable for new consumers to obtain gear,” says Eoin Comerford, CEO of Moosejaw. “This program answers the rising consumer demand to incorporate eco-conscious habits into their daily lives.”
Moosejaw will not take commission on the sale. Instead, sellers will receive 100% of the sale as Moosejaw Reward Dollars, which can be used to purchase new gear on the site.
