Luna Grill, the fast-casual Mediterranean concept that opened 10 years ago and is headquartered in San Diego, has announced that the company has completed an over-subscribed round of financing from private sources. The new capital will help enhance Luna Grill’s customer experience and help it continue its mission to build customer loyalty.

The brand plans to expand over the next two years. David Schroeder, Luna Grill’s Chief Financial Officer, said the new financing gives it the financial flexibility to grow the Luna Grill concept and customer experience to new geographies.

“This successful financing gives us the financial flexibility to expand the Luna Grill concept in a meaningful way to new geographies, which we expect to do in a methodical fashion that allows us to stay true to our unique brand of fresh, healthy, authentic Mediterranean cuisine delivered with quality customer care,” Schroeder explained.

Within the past decade, the brand has expanded throughout San Diego and Orange Counties, and recently opened the first location outside of California, in Dallas, TX. Currently, Luna Grill operates in 15 locations and plans to expand to approximately 30 locations by the end of 2015.

Luna Grill’s Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Sean Pourteymour, said the company’s commitment to customer engagement starts with its

 employees.

“Our talented employees have truly been the ones to establish Luna Grill as an institution in the Southern California region and we are thrilled to expand the concept and our healthy offerings to other regions over the next few years,” he said.
