Zurich, Switzerland and Riga, Latvia - Leading international reward solutions provider, Loylogic, scoops another major global airline client, airBaltic. Consistent with its pledge to deliver rapid deployment through a modular approach, Loylogic has helped inject better reward value, more choice and fun to airBaltic’s program, within a minimal timeframe; made more impressive by the extensive range of activities involved during the deployment phase.
Hassle-free solution
BurnShop™ is a groundbreaking solution, not only due to its flexible reward structure that offers total freedom of choice to program members (they can claim gifts for as little as one point or mile, depending on their own selected cash contribution) but also due to the hassle-free nature, from a client perspective, of slotting the whole scheme into place.
- Infrastructure
In the case of airBaltic, Loylogic wrapped the necessary management infrastructure around the program; assisting with recruitment and training of the local management team. Part of the preparation process also involved opening new offices in Riga, Latvia, to provide optimum support and knowledge to the core markets engaged in the BalticMiles program.
- Program functionality
For the program itself, Loylogic managed, tested and implemented integration with the BalticMiles points engine, as well as uploading all rewards to the online shop ensuring consistency with the BalticMiles brand. Loypay solutions are now also integrated to the program, including payment gateways for the clearing of the cash components on reward redemption; all now managed in local currencies relevant to users.
Global and local appeal
Putting the final touches to the program’s global appeal, Loylogic will complete the task by making the site available in eight local languages relevant to the airBaltic core markets.
BalticMiles was launched in 2009, giving customers the opportunity to earn miles through flights and targeted spend. With the Loylogic solution, they are able to redeem from a selection of more than 1500 exciting non-flight rewards, including branded merchandise and experiential offerings.
Loylogic has creatively sourced its rewards from international brands, as well as a targeted selection of relevant local partners, providing the most diverse rewards mix in the Baltic States.
The BalticMiles program boasts 151,000 members from 163 countries. In the short implementation period more than 30 new, local merchants have been sourced, and over 100 local products added to the customer redemption options. Aligned with Loylogic’s promise of global delivery solutions, products are available to customers residing in 234 countries. Strong local brands now complementing the line-up include Emihls Gustavs Chocolate, Stenders handmade bath and body cosmetics, Taka Spa treatments, Aqua Villa dream holidays and Vina Studija fine wine indulgences.
Featuring the patented Loypay™ technology, also known as the ‘Slider’, loyal customers have full flexibility in choosing between miles and cash contributions when redeeming from the extensive selection available in the BalticMiles Shop.
More to come
These initiatives constitute just the beginning of an electrifying schedule of enhancements lined up for the near future. An extremely progressive and ambitious program strategy, will soon offer customers multiple redemption channels, exciting points earning capabilities and even more extensive rewards choice.
Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic said:
“With the opening of the BalticMiles Shop, we have created an exciting opportunity to spend the new currency of the North ‘BalticMiles’. You can spend your currency for things you need every day – like a bar of handmade soap or chocolate, but then you can buy a Formula 1 drive with a real F1 pilot, or go on a James Bond tour, or indeed take a sub-orbital flight to nearly reach space. You can also donate your BalticMiles points for charity.”
Robert Moerland, VP Client Services of Loylogic said:
“BalticMiles has become an innovative and rapidly developing loyalty scheme, and is a perfect fit to work with the solutions of Loylogic. We are very pleased to share our solutions with such a dynamic company and look forward to our partnership together.”
