White Castle Unveils “Castle of Tomorrow” to Reinvent Fast Food Experience

White Castle is embracing the future after more than a century of business by introducing a bold new restaurant concept dubbed the “Castle of Tomorrow.” Located just outside downtown Columbus, Ohio, the new prototype blends modern design with functionality. The revamped restaurant features a vibrant, open interior complete with high ceilings and bright lighting. A dedicated mobile order pickup window helps streamline foot traffic inside, while outside, a double drive-thru and unique “hospitality doors” allow staff to hand-deliver meals directly to customers’ cars. The restaurant also reflects its late-night appeal with signage that transforms into “Night Castle” after dark.

White Castle VP Jamie Richardson said, “This new Castle reflects the best of who we are—passionate about innovation, hospitality, and our people. Every detail, from the kitchen layout to the mobile ordering experience, was thoughtfully designed to help our team members shine and to make every Craver’s visit more enjoyable and efficient. It’s the ‘Castle of Tomorrow,’ built with the heart and soul that’s defined us for more than a century.”

Technology plays a central role in the new White Castle experience. The drive-thru features AI-powered voice ordering, courtesy of a system named Julia, and the kitchen includes the latest iteration of Flippy, the robotic fry cook. Guests dining in can use self-service kiosks, and behind the scenes, staff benefit from an optimized kitchen layout, efficient prep stations, and upgraded break areas. While the design includes futuristic features, the “Castle of Tomorrow” stays true to White Castle’s century-old roots. The exterior preserves the brand’s iconic look with refreshed lighting and architectural details.

CAVA Teams Up With Gamer Clix for Gamification and Elevated Fan Experiences

CAVA, the Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant chain, has partnered with professional gamer and streamer Cody “Clix” Conrod to launch a unique, gaming-inspired campaign that blends food, fun, and philanthropy. The campaign kicked off on October 16 and runs through November 23. The collaboration introduces the CAVA Pass Challenge, a gamified loyalty experience designed to reward guest engagement both in-store and online. Through the CAVA app, participants can unlock bonuses, win prizes, and even earn CAVA’s top-tier loyalty status by making repeat purchases. Clix announced the collaboration during a live Twitch stream and will continue to promote the event with dedicated content and exclusive giveaways, including 20,000 free pita chip cards distributed at TwitchCon San Diego.

CAVA Chief Marketing and Experience Officer Andy Rebhun said, “At CAVA, we’re always looking for ways to meet our guests where they are, and we’re seeing more and more of our fans in gaming culture. This collaboration with Clix lets us celebrate two things our fans love: bold flavors and immersive, interactive experiences. CAVA’s mission is to bring heart, health, and humanity to food; so supporting Clix’s commitment to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is the perfect complement to a partnership we’ve been eager to engage in.”

As part of the campaign is a contest to win a custom-built CAVA-themed gaming PC, created in partnership with Paradox Customs. Adding a playful twist, the PC includes a touchscreen that allows the winner to order CAVA directly from the case. Also included in the prize bundle is a special edition Clix x JBL Quantum Headset. Fans can further engage with the campaign by ordering the limited-time Clix Chicken Shawarma Bowl, available through December 28. For every bowl sold, CAVA will donate 10% of proceeds (up to $10,000) to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, a cause that holds personal significance for Clix, who has been inspired by his interactions with young cancer survivors.

Domino’s Raises “Dough” for St. Jude’s Kids with Cancer

For 21 years, Domino’s Pizza Inc. has partnered with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to support its mission of treating and curing pediatric cancer. In its 22nd year in a row of participation, Domino’s is once again joining the St. Jude Thanks and Giving® campaign. From now through January 4, 2026, customers across the U.S. can contribute by purchasing the St. Jude Giving Combo for $26.99, which includes two large two-topping pizzas, Stuffed Cheesy Bread, a two-liter beverage, and an automatic $1 donation to St. Jude. Additional donation options include rounding up the total online or adding a contribution when ordering by phone, in-store, or online.

Domino’s COO and President Joe Jordan said, “Domino’s is proud to continue its long-standing tradition of participating in the St. Jude Thanks and Giving campaign. Every child deserves to live their best life, and when customers purchase the St. Jude Giving Combo or add a donation to their pizza order, they help make cures possible for kids with cancer. We’re grateful to be able to provide customers with ways to give charitably while ordering the pizza they love. Thanks to the generosity of Domino’s customers, we know we can help make a difference.”

To date, Domino’s has raised and donated more than $143 million for St. Jude, with an ambitious pledge to reach $300 million in total donations by 2034. This milestone would mark 30 years of unwavering support. St. Jude ensures families never receive bills for treatment, travel, housing, or food, allowing them to focus on their child’s recovery. Since its founding in 1962, the hospital has helped increase the childhood cancer survival rate from 20% to over 80%, and its research continues to benefit children globally by sharing medical breakthroughs with healthcare providers worldwide.
