Gap Inc. has unveiled a new creator affiliate and advocacy platform as part of its digital-first transformation and brand revitalization strategy. With a long-standing legacy of fusing fashion and culture through impactful campaigns, Gap Inc. is building on recent social media success – most notably, its “Better in Denim” campaign, which generated over 600 million views and 8 billion impressions.
This new platform expands the company’s “Fashiontainment™” concept, a fusion of fashion and entertainment that has resonated with modern audiences and content creators alike, strengthening Gap Inc.’s role in shaping cultural dialogue.
Unlike traditional affiliate programs that are primarily transactional, Gap Inc.’s new platform offers a more community-driven and immersive experience for creators. Spanning across its brands, Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic, and Athleta, the program provides participants with early product access, exclusive promotions, and creative collaboration opportunities.
It also allows for creator content amplification across various brand-owned and paid media channels. Regular newsletters and creator spotlights will keep the community engaged and informed, signaling a more collaborative and inclusive approach to brand advocacy.
Gap Inc. Head of Digital Engagement Damon Berger said, “Gap Inc.’s affiliate program model emphasizes scaled community advocacy and authentic brand engagement. By balancing creator convenience and empowerment with rich brand storytelling, this new program will position us to build closer relationships with creators, amplify their content across all our channels, and leverage data-driven insights to deliver greater impact at scale.”
The program is open to U.S.-based creators aged 18 and older who have at least 1,000 followers on one platform, with international expansion planned for the future. Selected participants will gain immediate access to commission-based affiliate opportunities and product gifting campaigns.
This launch coincides with a broader push by Gap Inc. to diversify its offerings, including an expanded accessories line, upcoming beauty products, and exclusive designer collaborations, such as Zac Posen’s GapStudio collection and Old Navy’s new partnership with Anna Sui.
