Sony Leads the International Gaming Industry 

Sony, the gaming juggernaut, has recorded an outstanding total revenue of $27 billion in 2022. According to TradingPlatforms.com, Sony had earned at least twice as much as any of the bottom eight companies on the list of top gaming companies. 

Sony can attribute its hard-earned success to the massive PlayStation sales. Since the launch of PlayStation 5, Sony has seen record-breaking sales, selling over 7.8 million units in the first six months after its launch. As of February 2023, Sony has sold over 532 million PlayStation consoles, 142 million PlayStation 4 and 5’s, and has indicated an average of 102.5 million monthly users enjoy their gaming experiences.  

This year, Sony increased its gaming research and development spending by nearly 10%, or roughly $2.2 billion more, exceeding the investment in electronics and semiconductors. According to experts, the research will help improve game services and the overall customer experience. 

Mejuri Creates New Loyalty Program, Expands Stores
