PetSmart Hosts Free Nationwide Valentine’s Day Party
PetSmart is inviting pet parents and their furry companions to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a free, nationwide, in-store Valentine’s Day Party on February 14 from 12–2 p.m. The event will offer sweet treats, photo opportunities with festive props and backdrops, paw-print cards, and more. Pet parents will also receive a $5 off coupon that they can redeem in-store.
"PetSmart's Valentine's Day Party and collection is our way of helping pet parents say, 'I love you' in their pet's love language. Valentine's Day is a chance for pet parents to indulge the pets who give them so much love, and experience a little extra joy together,” said Bradley Breuer, Senior Vice President of Marketing at PetSmart.
In addition to the party, PetSmart is promoting its Valentine’s Day collection of gifts, toys, treats, and accessories available online and in stores, with bonus Treats Rewards points for members who shop these products through February 15.

Instacart and 1-800-Flowers.com Launch Floral Delivery Partnership
Instacart has announced a new nationwide partnership with 1-800-Flowers.com that integrates the floral and gifting company’s offerings directly into the Instacart app. This collaboration marks Instacart’s first pure-play floral partner and enables customers across the U.S. to order fresh bouquets and gifts for fast delivery from over 700 participating florist locations in the 1-800-Flowers.com network.
Under the arrangement, Instacart users can pre-order specialty floral arrangements with same-day delivery available in select markets through the evening of February 14. Beyond Valentine’s Day, customers will also be able to schedule floral deliveries up to five days in advance while still having on-demand delivery for last-minute needs.
The service will be offered at the same price as on the 1-800-Flowers.com platform with no additional markup, while also supporting local florists in the network.

Sweetgreen Expands Catering With Custom Build-Your-Own Bowl Bar
Sweetgreen has introduced a new Build Your Own Sweetgreen Bar catering option, now available at select locations across the U.S. This is designed for groups of all sizes, from small gatherings of around 10 people up to events with thousands, and lets hosts mix and match bases like greens and grains, choose proteins (with premium upgrades such as steak or salmon), toppings, dressings, and bread to suit diverse tastes and dietary needs.
As part of the rollout, the brand hosted an activation at Los Angeles’ South Plaza Farmers’ Market where visitors could scan QR codes to learn about the bar and enter to win $400 in catered food. Sweetgreen frames the new catering experience as a way to offer real, nutrient-dense ingredients sourced from aligned farmers, bringing quality and customization to group dining occasions.
This move puts Sweetgreen alongside other chains that have recently introduced flexible, build-your-own catering formats, reflecting broader industry trends toward personalization in off-premises occasions. As catering continues to grow as a share of dining occasions, operators are offering more tailored solutions that prioritize choice and convenience for large groups.
