MGM Resorts Partners with Marriott International to Bring W Las Vegas to the Strip 

Marriott International and MGM Resorts International have announced they are planning a conversion of a prominent Las Vegas Strip property to the W Hotels brand, part of the Marriott Bonvoy® portfolio. The conversion is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 and is the latest milestone in their long-term partnership, which was formalized in a licensing agreement in July 2023. The move adds W Las Vegas to the growing roster of luxury properties under the Marriott umbrella. 

Marriott International CFO and EVP of Development Leeny Oberg said, “We’re thrilled to continue working with MGM to bring W Las Vegas to the legendary Las Vegas Strip. This agreement is a pivotal moment in our collaboration, which continues to expand hospitality and entertainment offerings for guests. As a luxury brand rooted in bold design and nightlife, W Hotels is well-positioned to elevate experiences for travelers in this destination.” 

The partnership between Marriott and MGM Resorts has already proven fruitful, with the MGM Collection with Marriott Bonvoy exceeding booking expectations since its launch in March 2024. The collaboration allows more than 200 million Marriott Bonvoy members to enjoy exclusive benefits at MGM Resorts while MGM Rewards members gain access to Marriott’s vast global network of 9,000 hotels and properties. The addition of W Las Vegas expands the MGM Collection on the Strip, which now includes iconic properties like Bellagio, ARIA, and The Cosmopolitan, among others. Located on the Mandalay Bay campus, the W Las Vegas is set to become an integral part of this luxury destination, with more developments anticipated in the future.

Scooter’s Coffee and Candy Land Collab to Enhance Customer Engagement with Winter Giveaway and Holiday Beverages 

Omaha-based Scooter’s Coffee has partnered with the iconic Candy Land board game for an exciting holiday giveaway. The contest offers one lucky winner a winter getaway for four to a destination of their choice. The prize package includes airfare, matching pajamas, custom Scooter's Coffee gingerbread houses, a Candy Land board game, and a $50 gift card for the coffee brand. To enter, participants must follow Scooter’s Coffee on Instagram, like the giveaway post, and tag a friend, with additional entries available for each extra friend tagged (up to 20 total). 

Scooter’s SVP of Marketing Kaelin Zawilinski said, “Our customers always know they are in for a delicious, sweet treat anytime they visit a Scooter’s Coffee location. The sweepstakes runs through December 20, with 10 daily winners selected at random, and the grand prize winner announced on December 27. In addition to the giveaway, Scooter’s is collaborating with Hasbro to offer a limited-time holiday menu that includes tasty treats like the Queen Frostine Sugar Cookie Latte, the Mr. Mint Peppermint Mocha, and the Jolly Gumdrop Smoothie.

Delta One Lounge Elevates the Customer Experience for West Coast Travelers 

Delta has elevated the West Coast travel experience with the opening of its second Delta One Lounge at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), located next to the Delta Sky Club in Terminal 3. The exclusive space, designed for nearly 200 guests, offers a luxurious experience with direct access to the Delta One check-in area, ensuring privacy and high-touch, premium service for travelers. The lounge’s design is inspired by the natural beauty of Southern California and features elements like sunset hues, walnut accents, and oceanic motifs, reflecting the region’s coastal charm and architectural history. 

Delta Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience Vice President Claude Roussel said, “From JFK to LAX, the opening of this lounge allows us to offer our customers a premium experience from coast to coast. With a menu designed for our most discerning guests and the dedicated, individualized hospitality curated exclusively for our Delta One Lounges, our teams continue to raise the bar on service and elevate what an airport lounge can be.” 

A major highlight of the LAX Delta One Lounge is its dining experience, where guests can indulge in service-led meals, with a rotating menu featuring elevated cuisine such as crispy duck tacos, roasted corn pizza, and pan-roasted salmon. For those craving sushi, the lounge offers a sushi bar, while globally-inspired Bento boxes celebrate Delta’s international reach. Travelers can also enjoy signature cocktails representing destinations served by Delta from LAX, such as Tahiti and London. A multi-tiered central table features a selection of desserts and savory bites, all available through attentive table service. In addition to world-class dining, the LAX Delta One Lounge offers a wellness oasis with eight private relaxation pods, featuring zero-gravity chairs and full-body massage chairs designed to help travelers unwind before their flight.
