Coca-Cola and Colgate Have Something in Common
Great news! You can now use Coca-Cola as mouthwash! Okay, that’s not even remotely true, seriously don’t do that. However, the two polar opposites seem to finally have something in common. According to Kantar Worldpanel’s 2018 Brand Footprint report, Coca-Cola and Colgate are the two most chosen fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) in the world. The study was based on analysis of more than 18,000 food, beverage, homecare and beauty/personal care brands across 1 billion households in 43 countries during the 12 months ending November 2017.  Coca-Cola was purchased 5.8 billion times, with a frequency of 12.7 and a 41.3% penetration rate. Second-place Colgate had 3.9 billion CRPs, with lower per-consumer frequency (5.7) but higher penetration at 62%.

United Airlines Creates Luxury Experience at LAX
Yesterday, United Airlines and The Private Suite, owned by Gavin de Becker & Associates, announced a new relationship, offering United customers access to the brand new private terminal at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). For anyone who has flown in or out of LAX, they can understand the importance of having a private terminal within the airport that is free of TSA lines. LAX has some of the worst airport traffic in the country and the longest TSA lines of any airport in the nation. The Private Suite experience will initially be available through select corporate travel booking desks and travel agents, and later available for purchase on United’s website or through the United app as part of a premium-cabin ticket fare.

YouTube Music is Here
Today, YouTube, rolled out its new music platform, adding to the competitive world of streaming services.  The new home screen within the app “dynamically adapts” to a user’s listening history, location, and activity to provide recommendations. For ad-free listening, background listening, and downloads, users can pay for the premium version at $9.99 per month. With countless streaming services out there at nearly the same price, users have a wide variety of options to choose from when listening to their favorite hits.
