Marriott and MGM Resorts Announce Long-Term Loyalty Partnership  

Marriott and MGM Resorts International announced a partnership to link their loyalty programs. Under the new agreement, MGM guests in the United States can earn Marriott Bonvoy rewards points and Bonvoy loyalty members will in turn have access to 17 MGM properties when they spend their points.  

Marriott’s Bonvoy program currently has more than 180 million members. When the new partnership launches this fall, Bonvoy members will be able to redeem their rewards at 12 additional resorts on the Strip and five more MGM resorts nationwide. 

Marriott CEO Tony Capuano said MGM Resorts brings a wealth of intellectual property to the portfolio as well as entertainment, high-end culinary options and other one-of-a-kind experiences. “It’s really an exciting opportunity for our membership,” Capuano said. 
 

Journeys Announces "Journeys Second-Hand” Resale Program, powered by ThreadUP 

Journeys and thredUP have announced “Journeys Second-Hand,” a resale program geared towards serving Journeys shoppers with more fashion and apparel options in an environmentally-conscious way. “Journeys Second-Hand” allows customers to shop secondhand apparel directly from Journeys’ website and resell gently-worn items for Journeys shopping credit. 

Journeys’ Group President Mario Gallione is confident that “Journeys Second-Hand” will add more convenience to its target Gen Z customers as well as support Journeys’ sustainability efforts. “thredUP was the right partner for us to enter the resale market based on its ability to fulfill the needs of our core teen consumers and offer the brands, styles and trends they see on social media. But beyond adding value to our online capabilities, thredUP’s platform also supports our larger corporate ESG initiatives.” 
 

JCPenney Rewards Members Can Claim Back-to-School Savings with Power of a Penny Reward 

As families build out their back-to-school checklists, JCPenney is introducing an innovative offer for its loyal shoppers. On Saturday, July 22, JCPenney Rewards members can claim a coupon for a Power of a Penny Reward. By claiming a coupon, members can enjoy $24.99 off on a $25 purchase – essentially acquiring a $25 item for only a penny. New members can sign up for JCPenney Rewards on July 22nd to receive a coupon and existing members will receive an opt-in email to receive their offers. All coupons will be valid for one week from issue.
