Loyalty360 Reads: July 28: Rolling Stone and Vivid Seats Announce Partnership, Thanx Releases Experiential Rewards Platform, and More

Rolling Stone and Vivid Seats Partnership Rewards Loyalty Members
Rolling Stone and Vivid Seats announced a new partnership to reward loyalty members with experiential rewards and provide Rolling Stone users access to more live events. Vivid Seats will be integrated across Rolling Stone’s digital platforms, featuring a custom content series and ticket widget on RollingStone.com.

Through its loyalty program, Vivid Seats Rewards, Vivid Seats will surprise and delight select loyalty members who will be invited to exclusive after-parties, including Lollapalooza and Super Bowl LVII 2023 events. The companies will also celebrate the 10th annual Rolling Stone Live event at Lollapalooza.

Thanx Releases Experiential Rewards Platform
Thanx loyalty and guest engagement platform announced the release of Access Pass a new non-discount reward program to help brands better compete with third-party marketplaces using differentiated loyalty benefits. Restaurants can use the capability to give special access or unique experiences such as VIP events, “skip the line” benefits, exclusive reservations or recipes, limited edition swag, and much more.

The launch coincides with a broader trend of restaurants exploring NFTs. With Access Pass, restaurants can award digital assets and limited-use exclusive benefits without requiring blockchain technology or a crypto wallet. In addition, the integration of Access Pass into restaurants’ CRM makes measuring direct returns on investment and incremental revenue generated from each customer easy.

Aeroplan Extends Loyalty Rewards Expiration Dates
During the pandemic, Aeroplan initially placed a hold on its inactivity policy to help members who were not able to earn loyalty points during stay-at-home orders. While many members are returning to pre-pandemic engagement rates, some are still unable to participate in the rewards program.

Because of that Aeroplan has once again extended the pause on the expiration of loyalty points until May 31, 2023, meaning that between now and May 30, 2023, any Aeroplan points which would have expired will not.  Aeroplan will reinstate all expired points if a member flies with Air Canada or applies and is approved for a Aeroplan co-brand credit card within 6 months of the day the points expired.
