Wendy’s Announces Greenhouse Gas Emissions Cuts
The Wendy’s Company will reduce Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 47% across the entire company. Wendy’s has committed to reach this goal by 2030.
Its plans were approved by the Science Based Targets initiative, a global partnership to positively address climate change. Wendy’s Scope 1 and 2 targets will reduce emissions in its stores and corporate locations, while its Scope 3 targets will offset the emissions for transportation of goods and its franchised locations.
Walmart Brings IT Workers Back to the Office
Walmart is requiring IT workers to relocate to its office locations in San Bruno, CA and headquarters in Bentonville, AR. The retail chain will close its tech hubs in other locations, paying for employee relocation or severance for employees who choose to stay.
Currently, Walmart has 11 tech hubs in the U.S. As part of the relocations, IT employees will work remotely three days per week. With the move, Walmart joins other major companies requiring corporate employees to return to the office.
Behr Targets Millennial Homeowners in TikTok Campaign
Behr Pain launched a competition series on TikTok to connect with Millennial homeowners. The series is titled “To DIY For” and helped Behr increase its engagement on TikTok by 66%.
By using popular DIY creators on TikTok, Behr was able to reach the Millennials with relevant content, many of whom own homes over 40 years old. The goal of the series was to establish Behr as a DIY Coach, helping younger audiences repair their homes on a budget.
