If hotels want to maintain or create brand loyalty, one big step in the right direction is offering free Wi-Fi.
According to a study by Hotels.com, free Wi-Fi remains the No. 1 amenity for customers when choosing a hotel for both leisure and business stays.
Here are some key takeaways from the study:
Complimentary Wi-Fi is the top factor in choosing a hotel for leisure stays (30 percent), as compared to 34 percent in 2013. In the U.S., 25 percent of leisure travelers selected Wi-Fi.
