03 January 2011, Dubai: The deal just got sweeter for loyal buyers on the Middle East’s first group buying website, GoNabit.com. Through their activity on the website, buyers can now earn customer loyalty rewards called REDpoints which can be used to purchase GoNabit deals - a first for group buying sites in the Middle East.

As the original daily deal website in the UAE and the first group-buying company in the world to offer its web content in Arabic, GoNabit says this latest offering is a way to give back to their buyers while continuing to strengthen and inspire customer loyalty.

“Every day we see new buyers discovering great deals on GoNabit, but we also have a strong core of loyal buyers who continue to purchase deal after deal. We want to reward these loyal buyers with our REDpoints scheme, and ensure they have every reason to continue to save, discover and earn with us,” said Dan Stuart, CEO and Co-founder, GoNabit.com.

REDpoints is an invitation-only rewards scheme, allowing customers to accumulate loyalty points through their activity on the GoNabit website. Viewing the deal while logged into their personal account nets one point, purchasing the deal before it tips is worth 150 REDpoints and purchasing the deal after it tips earns 50 REDpoints.  The REDpoints can then be redeemed against any GoNabit transaction with 100 REDpoints valued at one US dollar (AED 3.77).

Loyal buyers are invited to the REDpoints programme and can begin earning points immediately. When a nabber is logged into their account they will see their points balance on the home page and a full report of their REDpoints activity can be found under the REDpoints rewards tab. REDpoints only expire if a customer does not purchase a deal for a six month period.

REDpoints is the second customer loyalty programme to be introduced by GoNabit and follows the launch of its referral incentive scheme in September 2010. Under the terms of the latter, registered users to the GoNabit website earn US$10 of store credit every time a new buyer uses their personalised referral link to make their first purchase on the site.

GoNabit became the first group buying website in the Middle East when it officially launched its daily deals for Dubai in May 2010. Since then, GoNabit has expanded to Abu Dhabi, Beirut, Amman and Kuwait City,  and introduced a combined daily deal website for Sharjah, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah. In just six months GoNabit has saved its registered users close to USD 1 million.

“Our ability to save consumers between 50 and 90 per cent off some of the most exciting things to see, eat and do in their city has attracted a community of savvy buyers who are eager to experience their city and try new things. This is exactly the kind of audience that merchants want to tap into. Our merchant partners understand the value we offer in marketing their services and creating new customers for them and we are seeing more and more business turn to GoNabit’s assured marketing proposition,” said Sohrab Jahanbani, COO and Co-founder, GoNabit.com.

Each day subscribers to GoNabit get the opportunity to purchase an unbeatable deal on something cool to do in their city. The deal is available for 24 to 48 hours, or 72 hours for Thursday’s deal which extends over the weekend.
