Choice Hotels Offers Substantial Value to Loyalty Program Members in Returning Promotion

Choice Hotels is bringing back one of its most popular promotions, and does so in an effort to boost brand loyalty and engage travelers in an often-slow post-summer period.

The hotel chain, one of the largest in the world with more than 6,400 hotels and 500,000 rooms across 40 countries, announce the return of its simply titled “Stay Twice, Get a Free Night” promotion for the fall season.

Through the promotion, Choice Privileges members who book two qualifying stays during the period of Sept. 1 to Nov. 11 will earn up to 8,000 points, which they are then able to either save for larger aspirational rewards or, for a more instant value, redeem them for a free night’s stay at one of 1,500 of the chain’s locations. The Choice Hotels family of brands includes Comfort Inn, Econo Lodge, Comfort Suites, Quality, and Rodeway Inn, among others.

Choice Privileges has already cemented itself as one of the top programs in the loyalty-driven hospitality industry. Boasting over 26 million members, Choice Privileges is a point-based system that offers a rewards mix emphasizing both ubiquity (digital gift cards) as well as flexibility (allowing users to redeem points in addition to cash for discounted stays).

“While Summer may be coming to a close, the Stay twice, Get a Free Night promotion has started - offering our members an even faster way to a free night,” said Jamie Russo, Vice President, Loyalty Programs and Customer Engagement, Choice Hotels International.  “We’re excited to welcome travelers this fall and then give those guests the opportunity to connect with friends, family, and colleagues for free.”

The promotion comes at a time when travel volume generally slows. The return of “Stay Twice, Get a Free Night,” might help to combat this drop in business, giving Choice Privileges members an incentive to travel during the month of September, even if only to earn a night redeemable at a later date. With this kind of simple and tangible value, it’s no wonder that Choice Privileges continues to impress travelers and reviewers alike.
