In a highly competitive marketing environment, those that can make customer experiences easier, simpler, and more convenient stand a better chance of wining brand loyalty. This is true across every vertical, but it is especially true in the travel industry, which has consistently endured a negative reputation. This legacy has been mostly created by legions of frustrated customers facing intricate webs of inconvenience and complexity surrounding baggage concerns and more.
All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s largest airline, is seeking to change this perception of airline travel by partnering with DUFL, a premium travel and personal valet service that promises to “change the rules of travel.”
DUFL leverages mobile technology to provide a new level of freedom to those traveling abroad. No longer forced to cram over packed suitcases into overcrowded overhead compartments, DUFL lets travelers avoid extra baggage fees, skip the baggage claim carousels, and more.
By scheduling a pickup via mobile app, DUFL takes care of luggage pick, storage, and delivery. Upon arrival, professionally packed bags will already be situated and waiting at the hotel or destination of a users choice.
And now this heighted level of customer engagement convenience also comes with the extra bonus of ANA airline loyalty program miles.
ANA Mileage Club members can earn a mile for every $2 spent with DUFL, and then use their miles for domestic or international flights, rental cars, or for shopping at a wide range of stores, restaurants, hotels, and more.
"DUFL is making life easier for business travelers with a disruptive new service, so we're excited about introducing ANA Mileage Club members to this new option with an alliance that lets them earn valuable miles when using DUFL," said Takeshi Inada, VP Loyalty Marketing of ANA. "We're sure our frequent business travelers will enjoy having a virtual closet they can pack via an app or online and a virtual valet to handle their baggage. This is just the beginning of our alliance with DUFL, and we look forward to working with them to deliver additional benefits to our members."
As the only airline in Japan that supports SKYTRAX's highest 5-star rating, ANA has demonstrated a strong and enduring commitment to customer experience excellence. In this way, the new partnership with DUFL follows ANA’s tradition of finding innovative ways to increase customer satisfaction.
"ANA is a top global airline that is committed to delivering an exceptional experience to millions of business travelers worldwide, so the partnership with DUFL is a natural fit," said Shinji Tsukamoto, co-founder and President of DUFL International. "DUFL takes care of packing and managing baggage transit so travelers can focus on taking care of business. Users can be more productive on the road while gaining back personal time spent preparing for a trip and now those same travelers can earn miles with their favorite loyalty program."
