Wyndham Hotel Group Enhances Customer Experience with Dolce Acquisition

Wyndham Customer ExperienceWyndham Hotel Group, a subsidiary of WyndhamWorldwide,  announced on Monday it has acquired Dolce Hotels and Resorts, a leading provider and manager of group accommodations with a portfolio of 24 properties and over 5,500 guestrooms across seven countries in Europe and North America, for $57 million in cash.

The acquisition is viewed as a big step in enhancing the overall customer experience and customer engagement levels at Wyndham Hotel Group.

“For over 30 years, Dolce Hotels and Resorts has earned a well-deserved reputation as a Wyndham Customer Experienceleader in the group accommodations segment and they have built a very loyal following of customers through their innovative signature services and programs,” Josh Lesnick, Executive Vice President and CMO, Wyndham Hotel Group, told Loyalty360.

With outstanding properties in key markets, Dolce is a “great strategic fit for Wyndham Hotel Group that enhances our portfolio and offers a great cross-selling opportunity for our global sales organization and other distribution channels,” Lesnick added.

What’s more, the acquisition is consistent with Wyndham Hotel Group’s our asset-light strategy.

“And allows us to expand our growing management portfolio by nearly 40%,” Lesnick explained. “We look forward to growing the Dolce brand and signature service, technology, and F&B products around the world.”  

Dolce operates 24 meetings-oriented hotels comprising more than 5,500 rooms in seven countries in Europe and North America. The group has four additional projects in the pipeline: 

A 180-room conference hotel near Versailles, France;

A 140-room lifestyle conference hotel in Annecy, France;

A 202-room lifestyle conference hotel near Cincinnati, Ohio; and

A 200-room urban lifestyle hotel in Palm Springs, California.
