Despite a rather slowly recovering economy, entrepreneurs take advantage of the opportunities available, especially in the UK. Research undertaken by Hiscox reveals that British business owners are the least critical of government bureaucracy and labour laws compared to other European countries and the US. For this report, Hiscox surveyed 500 small businesses in six different countries: Germany, France, Netherlands, Spain, Great Britain and the United States of America. It also reveals that 78% of participants find it difficult to receive funding for new endeavours, while only respondents in the UK say that receiving financial support is now easier than a year ago (bbc.co.uk).
