Combined services effective September 1; one card to be accepted in 2011

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. —On September 1, the new entity Pilot Flying J is merging the loyalty programs of the two formerly separate companies.

“Both Pilot Travel Centers and Flying J are grateful to our longtime loyal customers…. We’ve heard your comments on wanting a merged loyalty program and here it is. Coming September 1, use your Flying J Frequent Fueler, Flying J RV Real Value Club and Pilot Driver Payback cards at all 550+ Pilot Flying J locations,” Pilot and Flying J said on their Facebook pages, http://www.facebook.com/pilottravelcenters and www.facebook.com/FlyingJInc.

It added, “The Flying J Frequent Fueler card will function as a Driver Payback card.”

The following Frequent Fueler Program features have been discontinued—the PDCA Frequent Fueler Moneycard MasterCard is no longer available; these existing cards will no longer function as loyalty cards, only debit cards.

In 2011, one card will be accepted at both Flying J and Pilot locations,  offering more rewards for inside purchases, mobile and online smart phone rewards system and the ability to participate in club programs such as the coffee club.

Until then, customers can combine points on either card at any Pilot kiosk, said the company. Customers will not lose any points.

No re-signup is required to get the new card; customers can exchange cards at any fuel desk.

The company also said that due to technology upgrades, 41 Flying J locations will temporarily be unable to participate in the Flying J loyalty programs but will accept Pilot Driver Payback cards. (Click here for a list of locations.)
