Perka Celebrates Two-­Year Anniversary of Fast Growing Mobile Marketing and Customer Loyalty Platform

Company announces major milestones, including additional international expansion and the one­millionth customer visit

Perka Inc., which offers a mobile loyalty solution for local merchants and  retail  businesses,  is  celebrating  two  years  of  helping  business  owners  build  stronger  customer engagement   and   increase   sales.   Since   launching   in   2011,  the  company’s   service  that  replaces old­fashioned loyalty cards has been used for more than one million retail purchases letting loyal customers earn more than 100,000 incentive rewards for their repetitive business.

Perka celebrated the anniversary  with fellow Portland­based  companies YoChoice Yogurt and Dannon YoCream  in  a Celebrating  Portland­Local  Businesses  event  last  week. Portland City Commissioner Amanda  Fritz  joined  company  executives  and  community  members  in celebrating  some  of the  city’s thriving local businesses.

Accolades and International Expansion

Earlier  this  year,  Perka  was  recognized  by  Fast  Company  as  one  this  year’s   ten  most  innovative companies for local businesses.   The magazine’s annual list highlights businesses whose innovations have made  the  greatest  impacts  across  their  respective  industries,  including  robotics,  healthcare  and  retail. Perka shared the 2013 honors with American Express, Foursquare, Target, and Yelp.

Everyday customers love Perka as much as merchants. “Now that I use the Perka mobile app, I don’t need  to keep as many loyalty cards in my wallet,” said Kama Simonds, who participates  in dozens of merchant loyalty programs in Portland, Oregon. “I’m able to keep track of all my points and rewards on my mobile phone, receive special offers and search for other local shops that offer a rewards program.”
