Mohegan Sun Casino Enhances Customer Experience

Mohegan casino customer experienceOne of the country’s largest casinos, Mohegan Sun, has announced it will work with group booking platform Groupize Solutions to streamline its booking process in an effort to build customer engagement and loyalty. The partnership specifically aims at bringing more corporate and leisure groups to the casino, located in Uncasville, CT.

Alisa de Gaspe Beaubein, chief operating officer for Groupize, said that the company will help Mohegan Sun create an experience for Mohegan Sun that is beneficial for both the casino and the customer.

“Hotels that recognize that group travel organizers want the ability to shop, book and manage group bookings directly on the hotel website will benefit from increased conversions and guest satisfaction, as their pre-booking experience and service will now mirror the hospitality offered during their stay,” she told Loyalty360. “Once a planner, occasional or professional, is empowered with information such as real time pricing and inventory and self-service group management tools, they will never willingly go back to an RFP process.”

Groupize Solutions currently works with more than 7,000 of leading hotels, resorts and chains. Its booking engine (Groupize Booking Engine or GBE) offers groups that ability to book at the casino directly from its website through a white-labeled booking widget customized to its site.

The company said that, with the dynamic rates and availability to planners online, Mohegan Sun’s conversions will increase and the costly dependency on third-party booking agents will decrease. By automating small- to medium-size leisure group bookings, the casino sales staff can focus on personal service and responding to the larger group leads.

Mohegan Sun features more than 300,000 square feet of gaming within three casinos and a 34-story, 1,200-room luxury hotel tower with more than 100,000 square feet of meeting and function space. Its arena, the Mohegan Sun Arena is ranked consistently among the top venues in the world according to Billboard Magazine, Pollstar and Venues Today.

“We selected the Groupize GBE so that we could capture the growing demand for small leisure and corporate retreat groups visiting our website,” said Alisha Cadoret, responsible for leisure and corporate strategic marketing at Mohegan Sun Casino in a release. “The market potential for special events, parties and social groups represents an enormous revenue opportunity, and we recognized that the ‘sweet spot’ for offering preferential group pricing and online booking tools is four rooms or more.”
