Gulf Air Elevates Its Falconflyer Loyalty Program with an Exclusive Black Tier

Gulf Air Loyalty ProgramAirline rewards have been a cornerstone of the loyalty program space for decades. They have become enormously popular, and an estimated 100 million flyers worldwide have accumulated trillions of frequent-flyer miles. Today these programs are continuing to evolve as more major airlines are seeking to unlock the secrets of gaining customer loyalty in a very competitive landscape.

In response to these competitive market forces, Gulf Air has become the latest airline to introduce some dramatic changes to it its Falconflyer loyalty program. Gulf Air, the principal flag carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, has introduced a new level for its most frequent travelers. The new elite black Falconflyer card will provide a host of additional incentives to build customer loyalty, which has always been a top priority for the airline.

“At Gulf Air we embrace a loyalty mindset company-wide – not only for our workforce but also our passengers,” said Kavita S. Al Jassim, Gulf Air’s Senior Manager Customer Experience. “Accordingly, we are delighted to recognize some of our most loyal members tonight and reward not only their commitment to Bahrain’s national carrier but that of other frequent travelers. We are looking forward to their positive feedback on our newest black tier Falconflyer card.”

The new benefits introduced by the black tier Falconflyer card will include free seating upgrades, an extra 25kg for more baggage space, and an absolution of all fees for cancelations or schedule changes. It will also allow a black card carrying member to choose a second person who will immediately be granted Falconflyer gold member status and access.Gulf Air Loyalty Program

Alongside the added benefits of the black tier, Falconflyer will still offer current blue, silver, and gold members the same ability to earn discounts, free tickets and upgrades, and complementary services from Gulf Air’s prestigious network of hotels, rental car agencies, and telecommunications companies.

Gulf Air’s Falconflyer continues to remain popular among flyers and supports over one million members traveling across Africa, Asia and Europe. However, the airline is confident that the new black membership level will attract and retain even more travelers.

“We are delighted, today, to launch this new initiative, a premium membership level that not only rewards our valued Gulf Air Falconflyers for their loyalty but also gives the airline’s premium fliers access to premium rewards,” said Ahmed Janahi, Gulf Air’s Acting Chief Commercial Officer.
