MINNEAPOLIS, February 15, 2010 – Carlson Marketing, the loyalty leader, continues to attract top loyalty marketing talent with the hiring of industry veterans Rick Boubelik and Tom Madden to key client-facing roles.
Interestingly enough, Boubelik and Madden are returning to their roots, as both are former Carlson Marketing employees. “Carlson represents the most exciting opportunity in the loyalty marketing space today,” commented Boubelik. “It is one of the few companies with the ability to design and deliver multi-channel solutions that can dramatically impact a client’s bottom line.”
“When you combine the passion and experience of Carlson Marketing’s people with the enhanced capabilities brought by its new parent, Groupe Aeroplan, it makes this a great time to be back,” Madden added. “Both Rick and I have been able to hit the ground running.”
As vice president of loyalty strategy, Boubelik is responsible for enhancing existing loyalty programs and creating new strategies for Carlson Marketing clients and prospects. Boubelik comes to Carlson from Denali, where he served as a partner for the past three years and was responsible for the strategic deployment of numerous customer loyalty initiatives.
Boubelik has over 25 years of marketing and management experience, having designed loyalty marketing strategies for such companies as American Express, Chase, Wyndham Hotel Group, Budget Rent-a-Car, Diners Club, Eddie Bauer and Titleist/Footjoy. He also has held senior management positions at U.S. Bank and Northwest Airlines.
Tom Madden has been named vice president of loyalty marketing and is tasked with applying his expertise directly to several of Carlson Marketing’s key clients as well as new business opportunities. Madden spent the past six years with Xmark, Inc. as principal and senior consultant. While at Xmark, he focused on developing and launching loyalty and other marketing programs in consumer and channel sectors. His career spans more than 20 years, during which he has helped design and manage loyalty programs for Amtrak, Avis, Motorola, Nextel, MasterCard, VISA and others.
Both Boubelik and Madden report to Luc Bondar, senior vice president, global loyalty strategy. Bondar is excited to have them on board. “With decades of leadership experience across the airline, retail, travel and financial services sectors, Tom and Rick bring tremendous strategic depth to our business and our clients,” Bondar stated. “They have delivered value to many of the nation’s largest and most recognized loyalty programs and our clients will reap immediate benefits.”
