British Airways Loyalty ProgramBritish Airways reaffirms its commitment to do everything it can to provide a valuable and rewarding customer experience to travelers. In addition to engaging leisure travelers, the airline also operates a loyalty program called “On Business,” which is intended to help growing businesses make the most of their travel budget.

Until now, however, On Business has not been available to Nigerian travellers. But British Airways has made a deal with SMEs across the region. SME, which stands for small and medium-sized enterprises, account for the vast majority of Nigerian companies and they are also the type On Business was designed to engage.

“At British Airways, we understand the needs of growing businesses,” said Kola Olayinka, West Africa British Airways Regional Commercial Manager. “We constantly strive for innovative ways of ensuring that our customers enjoy maximum comfort and earn exclusive benefits and rewards. Furthermore, the partnership between British Airways, Iberia and American Airlines allows On Business members to benefit from collecting and spending across all three airlines under one program.”

Currently, On Business lets the employees of a company accumulate points any time they travel. The points earned are redeemable at a later date. The goal of On Business is to allow company representatives to fly and attend meetings with clients when they need to, while earning valuable rewards and benefits in the process.British Airways expands loyalty program

“With On Business providing these rewards to our customers, members will now be able to collect and spend their points across all three airlines, which means access to more reward flights and upgrades, and Avios collecting for Executive Club and Iberia Plus members,” Olayinka continued. “The revitalized On Business will also better meet the flying needs of this dynamic and growing sector. It will be simple to understand and easy to use, as well as improve the management of members’ travel costs.”

To sign up for On Business, a company must simply enroll in the country where their business is registered. After registering, members can accumulate On Business points for company travels on all British Airways, Iberia and American Airlines flights.

The reason for this most recent expansion into Nigeria is to increase the cooperation between the British and Nigerian Governments, and to deepen intergovernmental cooperation on the development of growing business.

“We came up with the On Business program so that growing businesses no longer have to fret about the high costs of business travel,” added Adetutu Otuyalo, British Airways Nigeria, Corporate Sales. “This program allows company representatives to fly and attend meetings with clients if they need to.”
