Wyndham Rewards Updates Its Customer Loyalty Program

Wyndham Hotels and Resorts has announced enhancements to its loyalty program that are designed to deliver a transparent and generous program tailored to the needs of the everyday traveler. According to Eliot Hamlisch, Senior Vice President of Global Loyalty and Partnerships at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the updated program will be a major evolution for Wyndham Rewards. “This as an opportunity to evolve what we’ve done over the past handful of years and really build upon what has become an award-winning loyalty program in the hospitality space,” says Hamlisch.

Starting April 3, members will be able to search for hotels and view tiers via booking widgets and the company’s website. Changes include:

  • Nearly 3,000 hotels will be moved to the 7,500-point tier, while 200 of the company’s hotels will shift to the 30,000-point tier.

  • The vast majority of the company’s non-hotel portfolio, which includes vacation clubs, resorts, and vacation club rentals, will remain at the 15,000-point tier. However, the Margaritaville Vacation Club, the Wyndham Rio Mar, the Wyndham Clearwater Beach Resort, and the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort will shift to the 30,000-point tier.

  • More than 900 LaQuinta hotels are now part of the Wyndham system. Free night redemptions will start at 7,500 points, and with every qualified stay, members will earn 10 points per dollar spent or a minimum of 1,000 points, whichever is more.

Moreover, the company is working to launch several partnerships with other related companies. Members will be able to earn points for food delivery through Doordash and redeem points at Marathon gas stations. This also applies when booking tours and activities with Viator. Wyndham Rewards will also unveil a new shopping portal, enabling members to earn points on purchases with thousands of online retailers.
