Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has introduced the Wyndam Rewards Debit Card, marking the first time a major U.S. hospitality brand has launched such an offering. Developed in collaboration with Galileo Financial Technologies and backed by Mastercard, the card enables users to earn Wyndham Rewards points on everyday purchases, including gas, groceries, dining, and retail.
These points can be redeemed for rewards such as free nights at over 60,000 hotels, vacation club resorts, and vacation rentals worldwide. Additional perks for cardholders include complimentary Wyndham Rewards Gold level membership, hotel booking discounts, and an annual point bonus.
The Wyndham Rewards Credit Card offers several key benefits:
- Easy Point Earning: Earn one Wyndham Rewards point per dollar spent on eligible Hotels by Wyndham, grocery, and gas purchases.
- Welcome Bonus: New users can earn 2,500 bonus points after opening an account, making at least two direct deposits, and spending $100 in the first 90 days.
- Annual Bonus: Cardholders receive up to 7,500 each year on their card anniversary, sufficient for a free night at thousands of Wyndham hotels worldwide.
- Waved Monthly Fee: The $6 monthly fee is waived with a minimum average monthly account balance of $2,500.
Derek White, CEO of Galileo Financial Technologies, highlighted that debit users are often overlooked by traditional rewards programs, making this card particularly special. This card complements Wyndham’s existing suite of credit card offerings, providing options for both credit and debit users to earn rewards.
