SOUR PATCH KIDS Enhances Customer Engagement with Mischief Tycoon Experience on Roblox Launch

The SOUR PATCH KIDS® brand recently launched a fruit-themed, sweet-and-sour experience on Roblox to turn mischief into currency. The candymaker is entering the virtual realm with an exciting new adventure, The SOUR PATCH KIDS Mischief Tycoon Experience. Users 13 years and older can participate in a fun and interactive journey to restore the land disrupted by the mischievous Sour Patch Kids, transforming it into a sweet kingdom by collecting mischief points and in-experience currency. 
 
Tycoon Experience was created for teenagers and older fans and invites players to rebuild four fruit-themed versions of Mischief Mountain. Top players will win exclusive SOUR PATCH KIDS-themed digital fashion items and  “phygital” rewards such as candy coupons and other brand merchandise through third-party partners.
 
“SOUR PATCH KIDS Mischief Tycoon gives our 13+ fans in the Roblox community a unique way to engage in loveable mischief, extending our ability to reward fans both in-game and in real life,” said John Vasington, Brand Manager of SOUR PATCH KIDS, Mondelēz International.
 
The experience features mini-games where users collect mischief to unlock companions to help rebuild the land. Each mini-game highlights a different SOUR PATCH KIDS flavor. Three flavors were released with the launch—Grape Gallery, Peach Falls, and Watermelon Black—and new flavors and games are planned for release throughout the year.
 
The brand is also dropping Lemonade Loot Boxes inspired by SOUR PATCH KIDS Lemonade Fest candy to celebrate the launch. These crates, which appear every ten minutes, contain in-game currency and rare crates, offering fans the chance to unlock special digital items. Participants can also redeem the in-game currency in the SOUR PATCH KIDS Tycoon experience at the Lemonade Stand.
