UNLV Unveils Rewards Program for Season Ticket Holder Attendance
UNLV has launched a loyalty program that is aimed to increase ticket purchases and keep fans in seats. “One of our goals with this program is to reward our fans for making sure that, even if they can’t attend a game because of a scheduling conflict, they give their tickets to a family member or friend who can attend and cheer on the Rebels,” says Desiree Reed-Francois, Athletic Director.
 
Macy’s Is Getting into the Clothing Subscription and Resale Businesses
With shares down last quarter, Macy’s is trying its hand at a resale business and a premium loyalty program. “At its Bloomingdale’s business, Macy’s is working with CaaStle, a startup that assists retailers in rolling out subscription clothing services,” says CEO Jeff Gennette. “Learning from Bloomingdale’s will inform the development of a similar rental service at Macy’s in the near future. We need to play in this game.”

UPS Ventures Invests in Self-Driving Trucking Startup
The capital division of UPS “has acquired a minority stake in self-driving trucking startup TuSimple Inc., signaling the delivery company’s continued push into autonomous driving. In addition, UPS will expand a partnership it began with TuSimple earlier in March for the startup to carry truckloads of goods between Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz., said UPS Ventures Managing Partner Todd Lewis. TuSimple’s trucks operate autonomously with a human operator on aboard to take over if needed.”
 
Google To Lift Its Ban on Fantasy Sports Ads
The tech giant has reversed policy and will increase the visibility of sports betting. “The change—which will be rolling out in select states by the end of this month—will allow media buyers to advertise across Google Ads and DV360, offering media buyers access to the booming, high-intent audiences across Google Search, YouTube, and more.”
