Lowe’s recently unveiled the Mylow Companion, an innovative AI tool developed to transform the in-store experience by empowering associates with instant access to essential information. Rolled out across over 1,700 Lowe’s locations, the app enhances customer service by providing real-time product details, project guidance, and inventory insights to associates’ devices. As the first large-scale AI assistant of its kind in retail, Mylow Companion is expected to position Lowe’s as a supportive and tech-forward brand in the home improvement industry.
The introduction of Mylow Companion follows the earlier launch of Mylow, an AI-powered virtual advisor designed for customer use. Built on the same platform and in collaboration with OpenAI, Mylow Companion is tailored for associates regardless of their experience level, from new hires to seasoned employees. Its intuitive, voice-enabled interface provides quick, conversational access to detailed home improvement knowledge, helping staff answer a wide range of customer questions with confidence and accuracy.

Mylow Companion is just the latest innovation in a series of firsts for Lowe’s, which has also introduced technologies like a digital twin of its stores and the first home improvement app for Apple Vision Pro.
