Citizens Financial Group has introduced a refreshed suite of credit cards through its partnership with Mastercard – a structured ‘credit card continuum’ designed to evolve with customers as they build credit, progress financially, and seek premium perks. The goal is to craft offerings that resonate across life stages – whether someone’s just starting with credit or aiming for richer rewards and lifestyle benefits.

The lineup includes four core cards:

  • Citizens Amp Mastercard: A no-annual-fee starter card for those with limited or no credit history. It features educational resources, rotating merchant offers via Priceless, and potential upgrades after consistent, responsible usage.
  • Citizens Spring World Mastercard: Aimed at debt-conscious users, this no-fee card offers a low introductory APR and an 18-month balance transfer window, along with typical World Mastercard benefits like Lyft, Instacart, and Peacock access.
  • Citizens Summit World Mastercard: A cashback-focused card with no annual fee, offering 3% back on dining and groceries, 1.5% on other purchases, and introductory balance transfer offers.
  • Citizens Summit Reserve World Elite Mastercard: A premium, no-annual-fee card offering 3% back on dining, groceries, and entertainment, plus 1.5% on other purchases. It includes travel perks such as Lyft credits, Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credits, Priority Pass lounge access, and a 24/7 concierge service.
All cards are deliberately crafted with sustainability and accessibility in mind. These cards will be made from recycled materials and feature Mastercard’s tactile ‘Touch Card’ notches—rounded for debit, square for credit, and triangular for prepaid—helping individuals who are visually impaired distinguish cards by touch.

Beyond personal cards, Citizens is also creating a card specifically for its Private Bank clientele, and by year’s end plans to introduce customized commercial card solutions for middle-market businesses. Existing credit cardholders aren’t being migrated to the new suite—they can keep their legacy cards, while new applicants for the old products are no longer being accepted.
