The Cellit Widgit Plugin for Windows-based POS Expands its Loyalty Features

CHICAGO, Nov. 23, 2010—Cellit, a leading provider of mobile marketing solutions, announced today the release of the newest version of Cellit’s Windows-based POS system, the Widgit® v2.0.  This updated version of the Widgit features a more robust loyalty points tracking system,  enabling multiple point levels for purchases.  Upon reaching specified point totals, special offers and rewards can be delivered to the user’s cell phone.  This expanded loyalty feature, which allows the store manager to create multiple point levels, is available immediately on the Widgit.

The updated Widgit enables multiple mobile loyalty reward levels for transactions.   For example, some purchases may add one point to the user’s loyalty account, whereas others may add five or ten.  Special offers can then be sent automatically upon hitting certain thresholds.

“Our clients have enthusiastically embraced the loyalty add-on for the Widgit,” said David Wachs,  President of Cellit.  “The loyalty program creates a positive feedback loop with mobile coupons.  When customers come to the establishment,  they’re asked if they’re on the mobile loyalty club.  If they’re not,  they can join and start receiving offers in addition to collecting points.  The program has been so successful that our clients asked us to expand the functionality with multiple point levels. Stores can now offer more granular levels of rewards based on purchase activity.”

The loyalty platform is compatible with Cellit Studio, Cellit’s premier mobile campaign management platform.

Cellit currently sees many of its mobile couponing clients experiencing coupon redemption rates of twenty percent or greater.  Cellit believes the new loyalty features will grow the pool of redeemers, thereby accelerating the return on investment for its clients.

“The new loyalty features in the Widgit are one more example of our commitment to our client’s success,” Wachs continued.  “We pride ourselves on delivering solutions that are simple to integrate into the existing work environment, while providing maximum benefit.  We are excited to see the impact this new feature set will have with our customers.”

The new Widgit release is available immediately.  An Android version will be released later this month. The iWidgit for iOS will be released in January of next year.
