Small patches of rolling green landscape peek through the clouds surrounding Auckland as we make our descent. The country’s largest city hugs the coastline, circled by a series of volcanoes that helped form the spectacular scenery for which Auckland is famous. Although 1.4 million people call Auckland home, it maintains a small city feel.
