In the wake of the recent announcement that Walgreens plans to acquire Rite Aid for an estimated $17.2 billion, a spokesperson for Walgreens told Loyalty360 that no immediate changes are planned for Rite Aid’s loyalty program members.
Michael Polzin, Divisional Vice President, Corporate Communications at Walgreens, told Loyalty360 that the transaction is expected to close in the second half of 2016.
Walgreens has 13,200 stores, with about 60% in the U.S., and generated $76.4 billion in sales for the year ended Aug. 31, 2014. Rite....
