Starbucks and Marriott Bonvoy Enhance Loyalty Program Benefits with New Collaboration

Marriott International’s travel program, Marriott Bonvoy, and Starbucks recently announced a new partnership offering enhanced perks to both companies’ loyalty members. By linking their accounts, Marriott Bonvoy and Starbucks Rewards members in the United States can now earn more points and Stars, unlocking exclusive travel and coffee experiences.

The partnership provides members with several benefits. First, members can earn double stars on qualifying transactions at participating Starbucks locations during eligible Marriot Bonvoy hotel stays. Next, during designated Marriott Bonvoy Weeks throughout the year, members of both rewards programs can earn 100 Marriott Bonvoy points with three qualifying transactions at participating Starbucks locations. The first Bonvoy Week is set for July 8-14.

“Marriott Bonvoy’s commitment to enriching moments for their customers aligns with Starbucks customer promise to uplift the everyday, making them the perfect loyalty partner,” said Kyndra Russell, Senior Vice President, North America Chief Marketing Officer, Starbucks. “We’re continuing to develop our Starbucks Rewards program, and through this new collaboration, we are excited to offer members even more value and enhanced benefits through travel experiences.”

“Marriott Bonvoy’s collaboration with Starbucks makes perfect sense. We will truly satisfy our members’ passions for coffee and travel with the opportunity to earn more points and Stars while traveling and at home, and later this year by bringing those passions together when we introduce exclusive coffee- and travel-themed experiences on Marriott Bonvoy Moments,” added David Flueck, Marriott International Global Head of Loyalty, Cards & Enterprise Partnerships,

Marriott Bonvoy is launching a sweepstakes for linked members to celebrate the collaboration, offering chances to win exciting prizes. The Grand Prize includes a trip to visit three Starbucks Reserve Roasteries in Seattle, Toyko, and Milan, including hotel accommodations and round-trip airfare. Three first prizes include a trip to one Starbucks Reserve Roastery location in either Seattle, Tokyo, or Milan. Finally, there are 500 second-place prizes for 200 Stars that can be redeemed for a Starbucks breakfast item or any handcrafted beverage, up to a $6 value.

Additionally, Starbucks Reserve locations in Seattle, New York, and Chicago are introducing an exclusive cocktail, the Starbucks Reserve Siciliano, for Marriott Bonvoy. The cocktail was inspired by the love for connection, travel, and coffee and features Starbucks Reserve Cold Brew, Italian spirits, and a touch of sparkling water and orange bitters. Linked members can enjoy the cocktail for a limited time at Starbucks Reserve Roasteries across the U.S. and the Empire State Building’s Starbucks Reserve Store.
