Amusement Park Operator Six Flags Entertainment Corporation has announced plans to invest more than $1 billion across its 42 parks over the next two years. The investment strategy will see an allocation of $500 million to $525 million annually in 2025 and 2026, which will go toward new attractions, rides, themed areas, upgrades to the park’s dining division, and technological improvements, all designed to enhance the guest experience.
Six Flags President and CEO Richard A. Zimmerman said, “Our capital investment plans for the next two years reinforce our commitment to providing unmatched thrills, immersive entertainment, and lifelong memories to guests of all ages. The new Six Flags has a unique opportunity to refresh and renew the guest experience, one so compelling that a visit to one of our parks will be viewed as an indispensable choice in family entertainment.”
The company’s plans for 2025 include the addition of seven roller coasters and a wider array of popular seasonal experiences and events. Plus, a new All Park Passport Add-On will give season pass holders and members access to all 42 Six Flags amusement and water parks starting in January 2025.
For 2026, Six Flags is planning more extensive investments as it showcases several attractions, including record-breaking water rides at Carowinds and Canada’s Wonderland, a first-of-its-kind coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, and a milestone 50th-anniversary celebration at Six Flags Great America. Other investments for 2026 include a new family thrill attraction at King’s Island, a revamping of Knott’s Soak City’s water park, and new roller coasters at Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Over Texas, and Six Flags Mexico.
In addition to the thrilling new attractions, Six Flags will invest more than $80 million to improve dining options across its parks, including new restaurant concepts and better food offerings.
Zimmerman said, “This is an incredibly exciting time as we lay the foundation for growth for the new Six Flags and focus on what our team does best: make people happy by delivering the best possible experience and value to our guests each and every day.”
