Keeping up with the quickly changing habits of consumers is difficult, especially for smaller businesses that don’t have access to the massive customer engagement resources of larger corporations. But the rise of the mobile age is starting to change that, and Loyalzoo, a West London-based purveyor of the UK’s most popular customer retention app, is here to help independent retailers provide a “frictionless” customer experience.
Through a new app that requires almost no setup and minimal fees, Loyalzoo has become the first loyalty program app to provide a direct POS-integration for small and local businesses. This new system will allow retailers to acquire real-time customer data from any Windows-based service. In addition to interfacing with existing systems without the need for any auxiliary hardware, this service only takes minutes to set up and can be used in conjunction with a loyalty program to award customer points.
“Unlike other loyalty apps, which often rely on code-scanning, beacons or
geo-fencing technology, the Loyalzoo app is minimally intrusive for both
customer and staff - providing a frictionless experience for both parties,” said Massimo Sirolla, the Founder and Chief Executive of Loyalzoo.
Loyalzoo’s vision is to give smaller businesses the same technology, data, and customer engagement advantages that have so far only been attainable
by larger brands. It hopes that POS-integration will be another step towards providing a user-friendly and affordable way to help independent retailers streamline transactions, connect with customers, and compete with big corporations.
And so far, POS-integration as has been working exactly as planned. Its wider release to the general public comes after an initial test run at the London School of Economics, where two student union cafés have been using the system to great effect.
“The POS-integration has been a great success here,” said Nick Minshull, Operations Manager for the Students’ Union at LSE. “We have had fantastic support from the Loyalzoo team. We run an app-based loyalty scheme that students love and now we even
get to capture all purchase data. It’s all incredibly simple for everyone.”
That is good news for Loyalzoo, and it may soon be even better news for thousands of local and independent businesses all across the United Kingdom.
