Big-Box Retailers Battle for Inventory in Bet on Strong Holiday Sales
The Wall Street Journal says retailers are loading up on goods for the holiday season in a strong show of confidence in consumer demand even as the Delta variant and supply-chain disruptions add uncertainty to restocking efforts.

Best Buy Co. , Target Corp. and other large merchants are amassing more inventory compared with last year’s pandemic-depressed levels, in some cases logging double-digit percentage increases as the stockpiles also exceed 2019 values.
 
Walmart Testing Self-Driving Vehicles for Delivery Strategy
Walmart is testing self-driving cars in a collaboration that involves Ford Motor and AI provider Argo AI for expanding its product delivery strategy. The testing is taking place in several cities, according to a CNBC report.

The vehicles are Ford Escape hybrids using Argo's platform for delivery technology. Testing is taking place in Texas, Miami and the Distrist of Columbia.
