Jersey Mike’s Subs Teams with Grubhub on Delivery
Jersey Mike’s Subs is partnering with Grubhub, so diners now can order Jersey Mike’s on Grubhub from more than 1,000 locations across the United States. If ordering exclusively through Grubhub, users can receive a free regular #7 Turkey and Provolone sub with their order as well as free delivery through March 8. “Customers will now be able to have their favorite sub sandwiches delivered to their door by Grubhub,” said Jeff Hemschoot, marketing director, Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, Inc. “Our typical customer is active and busy, and third-party delivery brings another mealtime option to the table.”
 
Noodles & Company Announces Fourth Quarter and Fiscal Year 2019 Financial Results
Noodles & Company recently announced financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year 2019. Some highlights for fiscal year 2019 compared to fiscal year 2018 include: total revenue increased 1%, comparable restaurant sales increased 2.8% system-wide, increased 2.9% for company-owned restaurants and increased 2.5% for franchise restaurants, digital sales grew 46% and accounted for 23% of sales and contributed to an increase in total off-premise sales of 470 bps to 56% of sales.

Citi Retail Services Announces New Strategic Agreement with Meijer
Citi Retail Services recently announced an agreement to provide private label and co-brand credit card services for Meijer, which has more than 245 stores throughout the Midwest. “We are proud to be partnering with Meijer to further grow their credit card portfolio and expand digital brand engagement with their loyal customers,” Craig Vallorano, Head of Citi Retail Services, said in a release. “This retail industry pioneer is a tremendous addition to Citi Retail Services’ family of iconic brands, and we look forward to bringing innovative offerings to their customers for years to come.”

Bojangles’ and Speedway Motorsports recently introduced a new relationship with the goal of engaging racing fans during the NASCAR races at Atlanta Motor Speedway and Charlotte Motor Speedway. Bojangles’ is giving fans the chance to win a VIP experience to the Folds of Honor QuikTrip500 on March 15. “Race fans have always been important to Bojangles’, and we look forward to shaking and biscuit baking our way through this season with them in Atlanta and Charlotte,” Jackie Woodward, chief marketing officer of Bojangles’, said in a release. “This giveaway is just the first way we’ll use this partnership to invite fans to join us as we Bo racing!”

Funko Unveils Innovative Line Targeting Kids at New York Toy Fair
Funko, Inc., a maker of pop culture consumer products, recently announced it is entering the toy category starting with a product line called Snapsies. The patent pending snap-and-match technology allows kids to add an extra layer of personalization to a diverse lineup of characters. Funko also has created a delivery system with a touchscreen-display retail machine. From the machine, a toy capsule is dispensed. “Funko is taking our experience in pop culture and entertainment licensed merchandise and bringing it to the toy aisle with an innovative delivery system and product line that will engage kids and increase dwell time at retail,” Brian Mariotti, Chief Executive Officer at Funko, said in a release.
