Wendy’s Celebrates Breakfast Launch by Awarding Drive-Thru Customers
To celebrate the launch of breakfast, participating Wendy’s restaurants in Florida and South Georgia will give the first 100 drive-thru customers who purchase breakfast on Monday a coupon book for free breakfast sandwiches each week for a year. “Everyone will be able to experience the same Wendy’s flavors they know and love with this breakfast menu,” Richard Hopkins, Florida Division Vice President, said in a release. “We’re especially thrilled to reward our first customers in Florida and South Georgia with free breakfast sandwiches so they can enjoy the new menu all year long.”
McDonald’s is giving away free Egg McMuffins just as Wendy’s launches breakfast
McDonald’s called Monday “National Egg McMuffin Day,” – the same day Wendy’s launched its breakfast menu across the country. Valid in U.S. McDonald’s restaurants from 6-10:30 a.m. on Monday, customers could receive a free Egg McMuffin when placing an order through the McDonald’s app. McDonald’s also said “the day is intended to celebrate the best fast food breakfast sandwich as it is also turning 50 this year,” according to a CNN article.

JCPenney Launches Style on the Go Curbside Pickup at 50 Additional Locations
JCPenney recently announced it will expand its Style on the Go Curbside Pickup services to an additional 50 locations across the United States. JCPenney had a successful pilot at the company’s Brand-Defining Store. “Style on the Go Curbside Pickup is all about our customers and how they want to shop. As we continue to put our customers at the heart of everything we do, we continue to create engaging experiences across all touchpoints,” Jim DePaul, executive vice president of stores, said in a press release. “Whether they’re shopping online at our flagship store, jcp.com, or through our app, we’re helping our customers live life their way through this convenient service.”

Walmart, Verizon in Talks to Test 5G Services in Some Stores
“Walmart Inc. and Verizon Communications Inc. are in discussions to outfit the retailer’s stores with antennas and other equipment to create 5G wireless service, a high-profile test of the next-generation networks,” according to an article from The Wall Street Journal. “The plan would initially bring 5G service to a pair of locations this year to power new Walmart digital health services the retailer aims to start offering to shoppers and employees, according to people familiar with the matter.”
